Buyer planning guide
Which site photos should I send with a commercial refrigeration inquiry?
Prepare a labelled site photo set for a refrigeration inquiry: show the location, measured openings, service access and delivery route alongside your chosen model.
Which photographs help a supplier understand the proposed location?
Begin with a wide view of the proposed cabinet position, then photograph it from the staff side. Include adjacent counters, doors and fixed fittings so the supplier can see how the space is arranged. On a copy of the image, outline where you intend to place the cabinet. Keep the unmarked original in the same set.
Add a simple plan and number the camera positions. Match those numbers to the photograph filenames. Explain whether the pictures show an existing workstation or a space awaiting refurbishment. Identify anything that will be removed, moved or added; the supplier should not have to infer the future layout from the current one.
Include the model reference beside the location sketch. JINYU lists the JY-CD900TC-R countertop refrigerated cake display at 900 × 530 × 730 mm, given as width × depth × height. Use those dimensions to identify the product under discussion, and request its installation drawing to review the space around it. Photographs help explain the location; they do not confirm that the model suits it.
How should I show measurements without making the pictures confusing?
Use a letter to identify each measurement on the plan, and repeat that letter on the corresponding photograph. Show where the measurement starts and ends. For a doorway, for example, distinguish the clear opening from the frame or surrounding wall. Put the value and unit in a separate measurement list so the supplier can read them without zooming into an image.
For a countertop position, list the available width, depth and height individually. Photograph raised edges, projecting trims and other features that affect how the space is measured. Mark the surfaces used as reference points. If the intended position spans two counter sections, show the joint and explain the arrangement.
Keep site measurements and catalog cabinet dimensions in separate columns or lists. Ask the supplier to show the required installation and access space on its drawing. If a photograph appears inconsistent with the plan, measure the area again and correct the record. Do not use the apparent scale or perspective of a photograph to fill a gap in the measurements.
Which views explain how staff will serve and replenish the cabinet?
Show the workstation from the positions staff will use to load, serve and remove products. Label the customer side and staff side on the plan. Photograph nearby doors, drawers and equipment as they normally sit, then add views with the relevant doors or drawers open. Describe any tasks that staff need to carry out alongside one another during service.
A representative tray, box or container can help illustrate the intended movement. Include its measurements in the brief and explain how staff will handle it. Request a drawing showing the cabinet openings and how they open. The photographs describe the task; the model drawing is needed to review details such as the opening and shelf clearance.
If staff will approach from different directions, mark and photograph each route. Show where replenishment stock comes from and where empty trays will go. Frame the inquiry around a specific question: can staff remove the intended tray using the proposed door arrangement from the position shown? Keep the supplier's answer with the exact model reference and drawing revision.
What should I photograph along the delivery route?
Photograph the route in order, starting at the unloading point and ending at the proposed cabinet position. Number each entrance, turn, lift and change of level on a route plan. At turns, include a wide view as well as close views of measured openings. The numbered sequence lets the delivery planner follow the route from one photograph to the next.
Record the narrowest clear opening at each relevant point, accounting for fixed projections visible in the photographs. For a lift, provide measurements of the entrance and interior alongside the applicable building information. Flag access arrangements for discussion with the site manager, including doors normally kept closed and loading areas shared with other occupiers.
Request the packed dimensions and handling information for the equipment being offered. Label these separately from the catalog dimensions of the cabinet. Ask the people arranging delivery to review the route against that package information. If building work changes an opening or the delivery entrance changes, update both the route plan and the affected photographs.
How can I show nearby services and fixed obstructions?
For each visible service point, take a wide photograph showing its position in the room and a closer view showing the location clearly. Use matching labels on the plan. Include the walls, fitted panels, shelves and other equipment around the proposed cabinet position. State which features are fixed and which will change under the proposed layout.
Obtain the site's electrical supply details in writing from the responsible site contact. Request connection and installation information for the exact equipment configuration offered, then have the installer review it against those site details. A photograph of a socket alone cannot confirm compatibility or capacity.
Use the supplier's drawing to identify areas that need a closer look. If it shows an access panel, connection or ventilation area, photograph the corresponding part of the proposed location and ask how it will be reached after installation. Add requested views under the existing location labels. Keep required dimensions on the supplier's drawing so reviewers can use the photographs, measurements and drawing together.
How should I organise the final inquiry and subsequent revisions?
Send Shaanxi Jinyu Kitchenware Co., Ltd. (陕西金宇厨具有限公司) a single labelled package with the model reference, destination, location plan, measurement list and numbered photographs. Briefly describe the products you intend to display and the staff movements you want reviewed. Place each question beside its image reference so the supplier can connect the question to the relevant view.
Date the package and assign a revision number. When the layout changes, replace the affected photographs and mark revised measurements on the plan. Say which previous version the new package replaces. File the supplier's reply and proposed drawing under the same model reference to avoid carrying an answer about one cabinet into an inquiry about another.
Before selecting a configuration, check the quotation and installation drawing against the latest site record. Ask the supplier to resolve differences in the model, orientation or dimensions. Give the reviewed set to the site contact and delivery planner, with any unanswered questions clearly identified for written follow-up.
