Buyer planning guide
How do I review document-sleeve fit on a custom travel bag sample?
Compare document-package dimensions with a proposed travel-bag sleeve, then check packed clearance, retrieval and closure on a labelled sample.

What should a document-sleeve fit review establish?
A document-sleeve review checks whether the proposed travel-bag pocket holds the intended document package and allows retrieval with the bag packed. Name the package before choosing a sleeve size. A passport, boarding folder, unfolded A4 envelope and tablet-sized organiser need different openings and storage depths. Identify which items share one sleeve and which need separate spaces.
Mark the sleeve on the requested bag drawing: exterior face, interior wall or lid. Show its position beside the main zipper, laptop compartment and other pockets that share that panel. Ask JINYU to identify the proposed opening style, lining and finished sleeve dimensions for that layout.
The cream duffel photograph shows exterior styling. Review the document sleeve using the interior or exterior views of the labelled project sample. Keep its finished body dimensions and sleeve drawing with the photographs so another sample with a different lid or handle arrangement does not become the reference by accident.
How should I measure the documents and empty sleeve?
Assemble the complete package as it will travel, including the folder, passport cover, envelope flap and any fastened closure. Use blank sheets or sample booklets of the same dimensions for the photographs. Record the stacked height, width and thickness in millimetres and identify the orientation in which it enters the sleeve.
Keep unfolded and folded A4 arrangements separate. A folder around a sheet changes its outside dimensions, while a bulky booklet can concentrate thickness near one edge. Photograph the thickest part beside a ruler and label each arrangement if users carry different combinations on different trips.
Measure the empty sleeve's usable opening and internal height or depth. Identify where the package stops against a bottom seam, curved corner or lining fold. For a zipper opening, measure the passage between the stops. A sleeve face can look wide enough while the actual insertion path remains too short for a rigid folder.
How do I check fit with the travel bag fully packed?
Insert the document package into the empty sleeve in its intended orientation. Check whether corners enter without bending and whether the flap or zipper closes around the complete package. Measure any part left above the sleeve mouth, and photograph the seated arrangement with the sample label visible.
Pack the main compartment with the agreed clothing, shoe load and toiletry pouch. Add any laptop or tablet carried in a neighbouring compartment. Repeat the sleeve check after closing the bag. Compare the empty and packed views for pressure at folder corners, bowing across the sleeve face and loss of usable depth.
Open the adjacent pockets while the documents remain seated. Note whether a wet-pocket zipper, compression strap or lid fold crosses the retrieval path. Lift the bag by its handles and hang it from the shoulder strap, then set it down again. Record where the documents move and whether the sleeve opening stays in its intended position during those ordinary changes of orientation.
How should I review document retrieval at a counter or seat?
Rehearse the actual access sequence with the bag loaded. At a counter, place the bag in the position the traveller expects to use, open the relevant compartment and retrieve the selected document. Record whether the sleeve is reachable directly or whether clothing, a lid flap or a hanging pouch must move first.
Repeat while the bag hangs from one shoulder if that is an intended use. Observe whether one hand can support the package while the other operates the closure. Check whether the zipper pull disappears beneath a handle or whether an open sleeve collapses against the packed contents when the document is removed.
Return the package and close the opening. Photograph any point where a corner catches on binding or a folder has to bend to pass the zipper stops. Try the largest package and the smallest booklet separately. Keep the packing list unchanged so the record distinguishes differences in document size from changes in the bag's contents.
Which sleeve construction details belong in the project brief?
Show the sleeve outline on the finished bag drawing and name its opening: open top, zipper or flap. Give usable internal dimensions alongside the opening measurements. Identify the lining, attachment seams and any proposed stiffener or window. Keep proposed details attached to the drawing revision on which they appear.
State how far the document package should sit below or above the mouth and which edge the user will grip. For a lid-mounted sleeve, show the lid both open and closed. For an exterior sleeve, mark its relationship to the handles, shoulder-strap attachment and artwork. These views let the sample review address the requested construction.
If a reference bag has a useful sleeve, photograph its empty and packed arrangement with the same document package. Record its opening and usable depth as reference measurements. Include project quantity, destination and the requested travel-bag dimensions in the inquiry so the sleeve request stays with the full body and handle layout.
How do I compare revisions and send the sleeve record to JINYU?
Repeat the empty and packed measurements on the revised sample using the same document package and packing set. Place the old and new figures together and identify the sleeve location on each drawing. Photograph the package seated, halfway through retrieval and removed, using matching viewpoints for both samples.
Inspect the zipper tape, flap edge, lining and attachment seams around the access path. State each requested change at its location: widening the usable opening, moving the sleeve clear of a strap or altering the gripping edge. Ask the revised drawing to identify which dimensions and construction details changed. Keep the earlier sample available for comparison.
Send Shaanxi Jinyu Kitchenware Co., Ltd. (陕西金宇厨具有限公司) the sample identifiers, document-package dimensions, packing list, photographs and retrieval notes. Ask JINYU to restate the proposed sleeve location, opening and finished dimensions alongside the travel-bag size. Retain the accepted sample and drawing revision with that written specification.
