Buyer planning guide

How do I buy topping fridges for a cookery-school teaching kitchen?

Prepare a teaching-kitchen purchase brief using lesson tasks, shared ingredient access and JINYU GN-1130SC or GN-1305SC countertop topping fridge specifications.

JINYU GN-1130SC angled view of four empty pan positions and the raised hinged lid

What teaching task should the purchase brief describe?

Start with a particular lesson: sandwich assembly, pizza topping or another preparation exercise using chilled ingredients. State which ingredients the instructor demonstrates with and which the students collect for their own work. Identify whether a fridge serves the demonstration bench, a shared collection point or an individual preparation station. Put each proposed appliance on the classroom drawing with a position reference.

Describe how the room operates during explanation, practical work and clearing away. A bench that students gather around for a demonstration has a different access pattern from one used to collect ingredients in turn. Give purchasing this lesson sequence alongside the equipment list so the inquiry describes the work each fridge would support.

How do GN-1130SC and GN-1305SC compare for a teaching bench?

JINYU GN-1130SC measures 1130 × 405 × 280 mm and lists four 1/3 GN pan positions with 42 L capacity. GN-1305SC measures 1305 × 405 × 280 mm and lists five 1/3 GN pan positions with 52 L capacity. Dimensions follow width × depth × height. Both have a hinged lift-up lid.

The five-position model adds 175 mm of bench length while retaining the same recorded depth and height. Mark both footprints beside the instructor's working area, weighing equipment and teaching materials. Match the positions to the ingredient list for the lesson. Neither pan-position count nor listed litres establishes how many students can work at the bench or how many portions a class can prepare.

Should students share one ingredient station or use several?

Draw the movement from each student bench to the proposed ingredient point and back. Identify where students wait, where they put a tray and where the instructor stands while explaining the next task. For a shared station, show how ingredient collection fits into the lesson sequence. For several stations, give each appliance its own position and ingredient allocation.

Use the school's planned class arrangement to describe the proposal; avoid deriving a student count from the number of pans. Ask teaching staff to walk through the collection sequence on the drawing. If one lesson needs a different arrangement from another, attach both plans and name the tasks assigned to each station in each lesson.

What information should I send about ingredients and pans?

Prepare an ingredient sheet for the chosen lessons. List the separate ingredients at each station, the intended quantity placed out for the exercise and where replenishment stock will remain. Identify any lesson that changes the selection between groups. Keep the class recipe quantities in the teaching plan and use them to explain the proposed pan allocation.

The recorded layouts identify positions for 1/3 GN pans. Request the accepted pan dimensions, depth and supplied-item list for the offered configuration. If the school already owns pans, send their measurements and photographs. Include any lids or utensils in that request so the response can identify their fit and whether they form part of the proposed supply.

What bench and classroom details belong with the inquiry?

Measure the proposed bench and record its height, construction and nearby fittings. Show the lid's opening side and any shelf, teaching screen or cupboard above it. Request the model-specific installation drawing, operating weight, support requirements and clearances for the bench designer. Put the requested information against the exact model code and room position.

Include views from the instructor's position and the students' normal viewing area. Show the separate surface used for chopping, weighing or demonstrating a technique. Request access information for cleaning and service before the surrounding furniture is fixed. Retain the bench designer's response with the equipment proposal so purchasing can see which appliance and drawing the room arrangement uses.

Which cooling and electrical records should purchasing compare?

Both models list static cooling, automatic defrost and a 2-12 °C temperature range. Send the intended ingredient list and lesson routine with the inquiry and request operating instructions for the proposed use. Have the school's person responsible for food handling review those instructions with its own ingredient-storage and class procedures.

Both models record 220-240V/50Hz supply. GN-1130SC lists 130 W rated power and GN-1305SC lists 135 W. Record the model and room position beside each electrical value. Ask for connection details for the offered configuration and pass the documents to the person responsible for the classroom installation. Keep any electricity-consumption request separate from these rated-power figures.

How should I specify changeovers between teaching groups?

Write a short sequence from the end of one exercise to the start of the next. Identify who removes ingredients, where pans are taken and which bench surfaces need access. Show the route to the school's existing washing area and reserve storage. Include the time reserved in the school's own timetable without assigning the appliance an assumed cleaning or recovery time.

Request the cleaning instructions and identification of removable components for the proposed configuration. Have the teaching and facilities teams review the documents together. If an evening class uses different ingredients or equipment, add that arrangement to the brief. Keep the returned instructions with the room's equipment file and the lesson changeover plan.

What should the supplier return for a teaching-kitchen proposal?

Send the lesson sequence, classroom plan, station allocation, ingredient sheet, existing-pan measurements and bench details. Add the destination electrical supply and receiving route. Name GN-1130SC, GN-1305SC or both as candidates and state the requested quantity for each position. Ask the response to identify the model, configuration, supplied items, installation drawing and operating documents.

Use the model inquiry links below to send the brief to JINYU, Shaanxi Jinyu Kitchenware Co., Ltd. (陕西金宇厨具有限公司). Review the returned proposal with purchasing, teaching staff and the bench designer against one dated classroom plan. Retain the selected model and station references with the accepted equipment schedule so receiving staff can match each unit to its intended room position.
