Buyer planning guide
How should I check the seams, handles and base insert of a non-woven tote?
Inspect a non-woven tote sample with your actual contents: compare seams, handle attachments, packing access and the fit of an optional base insert.
What should I establish before comparing tote construction?
Start with the bag in front of you and the goods it needs to hold. Label the sample so your photographs and notes refer to one identifiable item. Gather the complete retail pack, including any boxes, sleeves or tissue. These details affect how the contents sit inside the tote and how easily someone can reach the handles. An empty-bag photograph cannot show that relationship.
For reference, the JINYU JY-GR-01 non-woven grocery tote page describes an open top, side and bottom gussets, separate loop handles, and no lining or closure. A removable base board and full-length reinforced handles are separately requested options. Keep those options distinct from the construction shown on your sample.
Treat listed dimensions as market-format references, not a guarantee of stock or supply. Measure the sample you are reviewing and describe the format you need. For a small quantity of non-woven bags, use the stock range and base your comparison on the particular stock item offered. This avoids mixing the features of several pictured bags into a single specification.
Which seam details can I record without taking the sample apart?
Work around the empty tote in a consistent order: front, back, sides, then the opened interior and bottom. Take an overall photograph before moving closer to individual joins. Give each area a simple name in your notes, such as left bottom corner, so the supplier can locate it without guessing from a close-up.
Examine where joins end, where edges fold over and where panels meet. Describe what you see: a loose thread, a gap, an uneven fold or a separated edge. If stitching or a bonded pattern is visible, photograph it clearly. Where construction is hidden, ask the supplier to explain the join rather than identifying it from appearance alone.
Keep the sample intact during this review. A ruler beside a visible irregularity can help show its extent, while a wider photograph records its position on the bag. Use matching views when comparing samples, and point out differences separately. These notes document construction and visible condition; they do not establish seam strength or predict how long the tote will last.
How do I compare handle attachments and carrying access?
Follow each handle down to its connection with the bag. Photograph both sides of every attachment, showing the handle end and the surrounding body material. Include any visible patch or strip in the frame. Repeat the same views on the other handle; otherwise, a small difference in attachment position can be difficult to distinguish from a difference in camera angle.
Record handle width, attachment positions and the space beneath the loop. For any measurement, show the endpoints and how the bag was arranged. A handle measurement is more useful when another person can reproduce it on the same sample.
Next, put the complete retail pack inside. Bring the handles together and check whether they are easy to grasp. Observe whether a box lid obstructs access or tissue gets caught near the opening. Photograph the arrangement that causes difficulty. On JY-GR-01, separate loop handles are the described construction; full-length reinforced handles are a separately requested option. Identify the version in your inquiry. Visible reinforcement alone does not provide a carrying-capacity figure.
What should I check if the sample includes a removable base insert?
Check whether the sample actually contains a removable insert before reviewing its fit. The removable base board for JY-GR-01 is a separately requested option, so keep it listed separately in your inquiry. If an insert is present, take it out, photograph it and record its dimensions. Ask the supplier to identify its material and the insert offered for the selected bag.
Open the side and bottom gussets fully, then replace the insert. Look at each corner and along the edges. Does it lie in position, turn upward at an edge or move while you pack? Record what happens and show where the insert sits relative to the bottom joins. Measure the available packing space with it fitted.
Place your intended contents inside and set the tote on a counter. Photograph the way the pack rests and note any tilting, rocking or distortion visible around the base. If you also review the bag without the insert, label those photographs clearly. Keeping the two arrangements distinct makes the observations useful when discussing which version to order.
What can a packed sample tell me about fit and carrying?
Use the same contents and packing sequence for each sample. Write down where the main box sits, how smaller items are arranged and when the outer packaging is added. Take photographs from above and from the side once packing is complete. If you weigh the pack, record that figure alongside the contents as an observation about this particular arrangement.
Watch the bag during the packing movements you expect staff to make. A box corner may catch at a join, an opening may pull unevenly, or the contents may obstruct a handle. Describe the location and movement involved instead of giving the sample a general pass or fail based on appearance. If an edge or attachment visibly separates, photograph the affected area and share the observation with the supplier.
A packing review can reveal access and fit problems. It cannot establish carrying capacity or service life. Where test evidence is relevant to your intended use, ask what construction, method and conditions it covers, and check that it relates to the item under discussion.
What belongs in the final construction review sent with my inquiry?
Put the sample reference, packing list and labelled photographs into one review record. Send it with your inquiry to Shaanxi Jinyu Kitchenware Co., Ltd. (陕西金宇厨具有限公司). Organize the observations by body joins, bottom corners, handle attachments and base insert, if present. Beside each observation, state the feature you want discussed or the question the photograph raises.
Separate features already visible on the sample from options you are requesting. For example, an inquiry about a removable base board should make clear whether you reviewed one in the sample or are asking to add it. Request a reply using the same sample and photograph references so the response stays connected to the right construction detail.
Keep the physical sample with its matching record. If a different stock item or a revised sample is offered, compare its joins, handle positions, insert and packed arrangement against those notes. Record each difference where it occurs. For small quantities, keep the discussion tied to the stock range, including the specific item and features being offered.
