Buyer planning guide
What should I send when reordering a custom bag?
Prepare a repeat custom bag inquiry with the previous order reference, retained sample, current artwork, changed requirements and a fresh version-by-version quantity breakdown.

Is the previous order number enough for a repeat custom bag inquiry?
Start with the previous order number and identify the exact bag line you want to repeat. Attach the accepted specification, artwork reference and sample reference from that order. Then describe the new request: which details should stay the same, which should change and how many bags you now need. The order number locates the earlier transaction; the attached records explain the bag you want discussed today.
For a hypothetical museum shop, use MUSEUM-TOTE-01 as the earlier bag reference and REPEAT-01 as the new inquiry. Suppose the old order included both a plain tote and a printed tote. Name the printed line explicitly and attach its front and back photographs. A request saying same as last time leaves the supplier to choose between two different bags before addressing your new requirements.
Which construction details should I carry into the new brief?
Copy the accepted finished body dimensions, fabric description, colour reference, handles, closure, pockets and lining into the new brief. Keep the original units and measurement labels. State whether dimensions describe the body or include handles, and preserve any agreed measurement method. Add the previous specification revision beside these entries so a colleague can trace them to the original record.
In the museum example, an earlier buyer specification might describe a body 38 cm wide, 42 cm high and 12 cm deep, excluding handles. These are illustrative project dimensions, not a JINYU catalog size. Enter them as the requested repeat specification. If the old brief does not identify handle length, flag that specific missing detail and attach the retained sample reference rather than filling the gap from memory.
Do I need to send artwork again if the logo is unchanged?
Send the artwork file you want used for the repeat request, with its revision identifier and placement instructions. Identify each printed panel, artwork width, wording and colour reference. Include the earlier accepted proof for comparison. A logo can remain unchanged while the accompanying website address, event date or reverse-side wording changes, so describe the complete decoration rather than referring only to the logo.
For REPEAT-01, the museum might retain ART-FRONT-r3 and replace ART-BACK-r1 with ART-BACK-r2 to remove a past exhibition date. List the front as unchanged and the back as revised. Ask the next proof to identify those two files and show their placement on the requested tote. Keep obsolete artwork with the earlier order record so it remains distinguishable from the files accompanying the new inquiry.
How should I use an old sample when requesting another order?
Identify what the retained sample represents: an accepted project sample, a bag from the previous delivery or an earlier development version. Photograph it overall and close up, with its label or reference visible where available. List the features it is being used to communicate, such as the pocket arrangement or handle attachment. Attach the accepted written specification alongside it so the sample has a documented identity.
Record its condition, too. A tote used daily may be faded, washed or stretched; describe those observations separately from the repeat requirements. If the current request needs a different fabric colour or revised artwork, identify that difference beside the sample reference. Ask which current swatch, proof or project sample would show the proposed change. The old sample and new evidence then answer different, clearly stated questions.
Should repeat quantities and packing follow the earlier order?
Write a fresh requested quantity for every bag and artwork version, even when the construction is unchanged. Separate a current request from a possible later order. Carry over packing details only where you still want them: version labels, grouping, individual wrapping and carton markings should each have an explicit entry. Add the destination for the new request instead of relying on the address from the earlier transaction.
The museum could request 240 English-artwork totes and 160 French-artwork totes for one receiving location. These illustrative counts total 400 requested bags; they describe the buyer's planned mix. If each language needs separate carton identification, put that instruction beside both version rows. A second destination would need its own allocation, so the same bags are not counted once by artwork and again by address.
What if the reply proposes a different fabric, trim or decoration method?
Ask the reply to identify each departure from the requested repeat specification. Put the previous accepted detail, the new proposal and the affected bag versions beside one another. Request the material description, drawing, proof or sample that explains the alternative. Keep an offered substitute distinct from the original request until your team has reviewed the particular change.
For example, a proposed replacement handle material belongs in the handle row, with its colour and attachment description. Ask whether the body fabric, handle dimensions and decoration would remain as requested. If the proposal also changes the print method, record that as a second change and request the corresponding artwork evidence. A response about the handle alone leaves the decoration question open; capture separate answers instead of treating one revised component as a complete repeat specification.
What should the final repeat-order inquiry to JINYU contain?
Send JINYU, Shaanxi Jinyu Kitchenware Co., Ltd. (陕西金宇厨具有限公司), the previous order and bag-line references, the new brief revision, current artwork files, retained sample photographs and requested version quantities. Add the destination and packing instructions. Include a short change list stating which specification entries are unchanged, revised or still missing from the earlier records. Give each attachment a reference used in that list.
For REPEAT-01, the change list would connect the retained body specification to the revised reverse artwork and new language quantities. Ask the response to address that complete combination and identify any proposed alternatives. When answers arrive, collect them in the current brief with their document references. The next sample or proof discussion can then use one coherent repeat request rather than reconstructing the project from the old order and several unrelated messages.
